And it seems to eat RAM at an obscene rate. Or maybe it'll just sit there thinking to itself for five minutes until you decide to try quitting and reopening again. Maybe if you quit and reopen the app it'll work. Maybe if you leave the app alone for a minute, it'll recover and play an episode. You double-click, maybe something happens. From the time you click on an episode to the time it starts playing could be a second, a minute, or never. Downcast kind of wins the field by having basic functionality, but it is slow and unreliable and I swear it gets worse every day I use it. Podcasts have been around and culturally important for how long, now? MacOS users are still out in the cold. Overall Opinion: The only reason to use Downcast is that the iTunes podcast functionality is appallingly bad and there aren't any good altneratives.
